THE 5-STAR MONDAY BAND AT 8PM

5-Star Mondays with Dave Bignell and the band!! After working at the Chateau Lafayette for over 20 years as the soundman for the Lucky Ron Show, Dave Bignell now has his own regular show on Monday nights - Five Star Mondays. Drawing on his background of rock, funk, country, jazz, & blues, he performs a selection of his original songs as well as an eclectic assortment of tunes from a wide variety of musical genres for your listening pleasure ! He played with The Hammerheads for Lucky Ron’s wedding, but for the Five Star Mondays Dave will be backed up by a small combo of well known Ottawa musicians : Peter Von Althen /Drums, Ned Pitt / Bass, Fred Guignion /Guitar. What to do on the chillest, most exclusive night of the week ? Check out the 5-Star Monday Night at Ottawa’s Historic Chateau Lafayette !

Tuesdays

WORLD FAMOUS TUESDAY NIGHT OPEN MIC AT 8PM

Tuesday Night World Famous Open Mic Night is Ottawa’s BEST Open Mic!! Okay, that’s according to us, but we’re not foolin! Our stage draws plethora of talented local musicians to stretch their stage legs and sing for you all. Sign ups start after 7pm, and music starts at 8pm. Our host with the most, John Carroll, ensures that there is time for all musicians who sign up to perform. House guitar available, and we encourage musicians over karaoke sing-along style. Come on out and claim your moment in the spotlight!

Wednesdays

THE JOHN CARROLL SHOW AT 8PM

Local blues musician, John Carroll, has been filling the walls of the Laff with his unique blend of blues and soul for over 20 years. His Wednesday night show is just the ticket to get you over the mid-week hump. Find him every Wednesday, starting at 8pm, and playing all night long. No cover charge, no reservations, no tickets required.

Thursdays

THURSDAY NIGHT LIVE AT 9PM

Every Thursday night we feature great local music, with a different band every week. Their only goal - set the vibe, and keep the tunes going!

Fridays

DJ Poundkey VINYL DAD ROCK 5-8pm

DJ Poundkey has the knack for playing exactly what you want to hear. He hand picks each vinyl record, each song, to create unique playlists each and every week. Find him every Friday from 5-8pm.

Fire’d Up Friday Nights at 9pm

Every week, we invite a different local trio to take the stage. The best mix of local musicians that Ottawa has to offer bring you their brand of covers, and originals, to keep your night going. No cover, no reservations, no tickets required! Bring your dancing shoes!

Saturdays

The Lucky Ron Show at 4pm

A true legend in the Ottawa Valley. The Lucky Ron Show has been a mainstay at the Laff since 1999; he performs every single Saturday from 4-8pm. In March 2023, we expanded the Lucky Ron Show to include local country solos and duos to open the show. During the intermission, we have some great instrumentalists lined up, and some step-dancers, too! Check the calendar above to see who will be joining Lucky Ron on the iconic stage.

So saddle up, grab a drink, and get ready to stomp, shout, hoot and holler your way through the most fun you’ll have on a Saturday afternoon in Ottawa. No cover, no reservations, no tickets required!

Sundays

Sunday Afternooner 3-6pm

Every Sunday afternoon from 3-6pm, entertainment abounds! Acoustic solos and duos bring you some great tunes - it’s like an old fashioned kitchen party. On the last Sunday of every month, we invite some of the best performers from Open Mic to play their own sets, many of them for the first time! These are acts that have shown extreme talent and have played consistently at our Open Mic on Tuesday nights over the years. They just need their shot at a paid gig, and we’re excited to be able to facilitate that for them. Check the calendar for up to date lineups. And as always, there’s no cover charge, and we don’t take reservations.

Sunday evening tunes 8pm

We’re all about great live music, and Sundays are no exception. Catch some of the best duos and vinyl DJs from the Ottawa area, playing great covers from 8pm to midnight. Get up and dance!
